National medicine inventory and supply chain
Stock at the Materials Management Unit, regional bonds and facilities in one place, with every request, dispatch and receipt tracked.
CORTEX keeps one accurate record of the country’s medicines and supplies, from the national store to the hospital ward.
Staff sign in is for health workers and managers with a CORTEX account. It opens cortex.health.gov.gy.
One record for the whole public health system. When stock moves from the Materials Management Unit to a regional bond, a hospital or a health post, the record moves with it.
Five capabilities are live now for staff with a CORTEX account.
Stock at the Materials Management Unit, regional bonds and facilities in one place, with every request, dispatch and receipt tracked.
Two people count the same shelf without seeing each other’s figures. Differences go to review.
Stock close to expiry is shown first, so it is used or moved before it is wasted.
Orders are counted blind and inspected before they leave the national store.
Stock issued to wards and medicines dispensed to patients, recorded at each facility.
Interface illustrations are simplified examples, not live data.
The Materials Management Unit supplies regional bonds in Guyana’s ten administrative regions. They supply hospitals, health centres and health posts, some reached only by river or air.
CORTEX records the stock and every movement at each step.
Six capabilities are in development. None of them is available yet.
Health workers record the care they give, linked to the medicines used.
Patients request appointments through CORA. Clinics confirm them and track referrals.
A region facing a shortage receives stock directly from another region.
Facilities that are hard to reach by road or river request deliveries by drone.
Remote facilities consult clinicians at other sites, with records shared securely.
Advisory only, never autonomous. AI points out patterns, such as stock that may run out.
When AI arrives in CORTEX, every suggestion will be marked as AI-generated and reviewed by a person. CORTEX will not place orders, move stock or change records on its own.
The patient-facing companion to CORTEX, for anyone in Guyana who wants to find and reach care.
Illustrations of two CORA screens: the home screen with options to ask a health question, find a clinic and request an appointment, and a conversation in which CORA helps a person find antenatal care.
CORA gives general guidance only. It does not diagnose illness or replace a health worker. In an emergency, call [emergency number] or go to the nearest hospital.
[CORA availability, for example “Open to the public in beta”]. Screens are illustrations; the live service may differ.
